SMCI has long been committed to maintaining a close and long term relationship with its customers. A major gas turbine supplier has been one of the companies that have become a factor in our success. We presently supply gas turbine inlet and exhaust manifolds, turbine pipe racks, maintenance tools and lift service assemblies.

Inlet Manifolds play an important role in our ongoing and repetitious work load. The fixturing techniques used for these units generate a high quality and repeatable product.

We are able to maintain the required close tolerance machining on the mating flanges by use of our 13 ft. vertical x 35 ft. horizontal boring mill.

The gas turbine exhaust manifolds require the same close-toleance fabrication, machining and fixturing techniques as described above. These units are made from stainless steel for elevated temperatures.

The turbine piping and instrumentation assemblies are
9’w x 42‘ l x 13’ high. They consist of carbon steel and stainless piping, complete with valves, actuators and the electrical work as specified. They have a shipping weight of approximately 33,000 lbs.

These are some of the special items that we supply for site installation and maintenance tooling. The miscellaneous rigging equipment and hardware is properly tagged, documented and placed securely in its shipping container. Digital photos are taken of each layer in the box to facilitate Quality Assurance requirements and documentation.
